Buying secretly? Here's how to find their size

Most engagement rings are a surprise — and most proposers don't know their partner's exact size. That's normal, and there are a few reliable ways to find out without giving anything away:

  • Borrow a ring they already wear — ideally one worn on the ring finger of the left hand. Trace the inside circle on paper, or measure it against the chart below.
  • Ask their inner circle — a close friend, sister, or mom often knows, or can find out casually.
  • Make your best estimate — the most common women's sizes are 6 to 6.5, and the most common men's sizes are 9 to 10. If you're between sizes, go up.

And here's your safety net: every ring includes one complimentary resize within 60 days of delivery — we cover the resizing and fully insured shipping both ways. A close guess is good enough; the perfect fit is guaranteed either way.

How to measure with a string

  1. Wrap a string around the desired finger.
  2. Measure the length of string that fits around the finger.
  3. Match the measurement to the chart below to find the ring size.

How to measure with an existing ring

  1. Choose a ring that fits the intended finger well.
  2. Place the ring against a ruler and measure the inside diameter.
  3. Match the measurement to the chart below to find the ring size.
